Pakistan Passport Fee 2026: E-Passport Fees, Documents and How to Apply

This guide gives the current Pakistan e-passport fees, processing times, documents and application steps, taken from the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) website and checked on 2 November 2026. Fees and procedures can change, so confirm at your passport office before paying.

Pakistan e-passport fees 2026

DGIP’s fee table does not list an Executive or Express category. If a passport is lost, the fee is double for the first loss and four times the normal fee for a second loss. Children under 15 receive a five-year passport only.

How long does a passport take?

• Normal: 21 working days
• Urgent: 5 working days

DGIP says courier delivery is not included for remote areas in Pakistan or for Pakistani missions abroad, and its guidelines mention a further few working days for delivery, so allow extra time before travel.

How to apply for a new passport

DGIP describes new passport applications as done in person at a Regional Passport Office (RPO) or a Pakistan Mission abroad. The steps at the office are:

• Arrive at the customer service counter and get your photo taken and a token with a QR code.
• Give your biometrics (fingerprints).
• Your data is entered and checked against office records.
• An Assistant Director interviews you and makes the decision.
• Pay the fee using the QR code.
• Collect your passport, or wait for courier delivery.

Renewal

You can renew by visiting your passport office with the required documents. DGIP’s website also offers an online renewal option for people in Pakistan and overseas Pakistanis. Start from the official site, dgip.gov.pk.

Documents required

Adults (18 and above)

• Original valid CNIC or NICOP, with a photocopy
• Previous passport (original and photocopy), if one was issued
• NOC from the department if you work for the government, a semi-government body or an autonomous body
• Foreign passport with a photocopy, for dual nationals
• For a lost passport, a police report that mentions the previous passport number

Minors

• Under 10: the original Child Registration Certificate (CRC, Form B) or Family Registration Certificate, plus a photocopy
• Aged 10 and above: an original updated CRC with fingerprints and photograph, or a Juvenile Card, plus a photocopy
• Original valid CNICs or passports of both parents, with photocopies
• A parent or court-appointed guardian must accompany the child
• If the parents are separated or divorced: court custody papers, or the other parent’s consent on attested non-judicial stamp paper
• If a parent has died: the original death certificate and a photocopy

Every person needs a separate passport. A child’s name cannot be endorsed on a parent’s passport.

Offices open round the clock

DGIP lists selected offices that work seven days a week. Check the timing before you go.

• Morning, evening and night shifts (8:00 am to 8:00 am): RPO G-10/4 Islamabad, RPO Garden Town Lahore, Mega Centre Egerton Road Lahore, RPO Awami Markaz Karachi, Mega Centre Nazimabad Karachi and Mega Centre Siemens Chowrangi Karachi.
• Morning and evening shifts (8:00 am to midnight): Mega Centres Peco Road and Sanda Road in Lahore, and RPOs in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad and Quetta.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a Pakistan passport?

A 36-page e-passport costs Rs 9,000 for 5 years and Rs 13,500 for 10 years on the Normal category. Urgent is Rs 15,000 and Rs 22,500.

How long is a Pakistani passport valid?

Five or ten years, depending on the fee paid. Children under 15 get five years only.

Can overseas Pakistanis renew online?
